Sažetak
The prevalence of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa in Croatia is getting bigger every year. The results from the literature show that anorexia nervosa occur in about 0.5% young white females, and bulimia nervosa in about 1.5% of them. The analysis of neurohumoral factors showed that there has been recent interes in role of serotonin in bulimia with deficient central states possibly arising from repeated episodes. Those researches and results, as well as the common comorbidity of eating disorders with depression, justify the use of anti depressives in the treatment of persons with eating disorders. According to the literature and our own experience, the use of old and new anti depressives has been indicated in the treatment of persons with eating disorders. In this work we show the kinds, dosages and efficiency of certain anti depressives in the treatment of patients with eating disorders.
