Sažetak
This paper presents development pattern in small and medium size enterprise growth in the transitional economy of Croatia. Transition process in Croatia so far has undergone three phases, all influenced by political circumstances concerning theitr duration and alignement with similar reformed in other central and eastern economies. In this article we tried to depict characteristics and specific problems of each phases beginning from 1989. The analyses ends with an overview of infrastructure designed to support small and medium enterprises development on national and regional level in Croatia.
