Sažetak
The paper examines translation methods used by students of German when translating a German text into Croatian. It tries to give an organized overview and focus on most frequently used methods. The research is based on the empirical analysis of think-aloud protocols recorded during the translation process. The typology of translation methods used to analyse the protocols and classify the findings is based on the classification by Gerloff and is divided according to different areas. Due to the type of text used in the research, not all translation methods could be observed.
