Sažetak
The physical origin and necessity of a quantum correction for the spatial carrier density distribution is explained. The improved modified local density model is adopted for providing quantum correction. This model is implemented in the MC device simulator through a quantum potential. Simulations on test structures and comparison with classical results are given.
