Sažetak
Large, distributed and highly geographically dispersed systems typically comprise vast amounts of data and a sheer range of various applications. It is essential that business logic layer be fully operational, while at the same time allowing proper maintenance and timely updating. This paper proposes a means of remote software maintenance, which implies installation, updating and modifying configurations without obstructing the target system's regular operation. This adds to significant improvements of the efficiency, maintainability and reliability of large distributed system such as e-Health systems. The technological backbone of the set of solutions brought forward in this paper is the OSGi framework.
