Sažetak
Dental ceramics is today very important, if not the most important, chapter of fixed prosthodontics. In last decades it blossomed with implementation of different building ceramic materials, constructions of prosthetic restorations and cements for their bonding (fixation), as well as with different clinical procedures performed. This book consists of 9 chapters which elaborate essential scientific aspects of dental ceramics as building material and technological processing methods in dental laboratory, manufacturing of veneers and all- ceramic single crowns and all-ceramic fixed partial dentures, treatment of non-vital abutment teeth with ceramic posts and fibre reinforced composite posts, possibilities and modalities of bonding (fixation) ceramic restorations, and all- ceramic implant supported restorations. There is also a chapter about tooth bleaching which is, perhaps, only due to the esthetic considerations incorporated in this book. At the end of each chapter there is a list of contemporary references. The book is written in the shape of hints considering certain topic and corroborated with quality photographs. It is assumed that the reader should have certain knowledge in elaborated topics because the hints are brief ; although for a knower very clear especially due to the associated photographs. The book can be recommended to the dentists, residents and specialists, but due to the brief hints it is not so understandable for an average student. But this book is probably written for the more experienced clinicians to whom the presented case reports of patients treated with ceramic restorations will be interesting, especially in a way the Swiss colleagues do.
