Sažetak
By the claisen-Schmidt condensation of 3-acetyl-4, 7-dihydroxycoumarin and aromatic aldehyde, the coumarin chalcone was obtained. The Claisen condensation of 3-acetyl-4, 7-dihydroxycoumarin with ethyl acetate and diethyloxalate yielded 3- acetoacetyl-4, 7-dihydroxycoumarin and 2-(4, 7- dihydroxycoumarin-3-yl)-2, 3-diketobutanoic acid respectively. These compound were used in a synthesis of new heterocycles with coumarin nucleus.
