Sažetak
Chapter IX b of Encyclopedia of electrochemistry of elements is dedicated to the element bismuth. A detailed insight into the standard and formal potentials and voltammetric characteristics of bismuth are given. It also describes the processes of formation of anodic oxide films on bismuth and cathode dissolution processes. The procedures of electroplating and refining of bismuth are described, and analytical application of bismuth electrode for pH measuring is given.
