Sažetak
In art collection of Mr Franco Salghetti – Drioli of Brunate (Como – Italy), among works of art of his great – grandfather was preserved in the original shape a photograph album entitled ALCUNI LAVORI ARTISTICI DI FRANCESCO SALGHETTI – DRIOLI RIPRODOTTTI FOTOGRAFICAMENTE Album was published in April of 1875 in Zadar in occasion of wedding of the painter's son Simeone with Emma Drioli. Photographic reproductions of Salghetti's paintings were made by famous Zadar photographer Tomaso Burato (Dubrovnik 1840 – Zadar 1910), without doubt the most important photographer in Dalmatia in nineteenth century. The album consisted of twelve pages, four of text and eight pages with original semi – glossy albumen prints toned with gold chlorid. Nowdays the album is important for art historiographers because it reproduces some of lost Salghetti's works and yet unknown preparatory studies for his later noted paintings. For history of photograpy in Croatia this album is of exceptional importance. Not only for it was the first photograph album of Tomaso Burato, but because it was the first high quality work of typography with photographic reproductions of works of art. Therefore we can consider it the first authentic art photo – monograpy in Croatian cultural heritage.
