Sažetak
The influence of different mass and size of seeds and as well different additives to granulometric characteristics of obtained glycine crystals were researched on the batch crystallization from water solution. Obtained results showed that the quantity and the type of the additive affect the crystals granulometric characteristics and the polymorphic form. Concentration of sodium chloride affects the crystal size distribution (CSD) and structure of glycine crystals. The crystals obtained from solution with ethanol, yields unimodal CSD. The mass fraction of gama crystals was increased by reducing the quantity of added ethanol. The crystals produced by adding oxalic acid are irregular and agglomerated. CSD are wide and bimodal. Seeded crystallization yielded narrow CSD with a larger portion of gama crystals.
