Sažetak
Increasing number of regional trade blocks as well as increasing participation of countries characterizes current global economy. As regionalism is becoming a growing trend, almost all countries are participating in one, if not in several regional trade agreements. MERCOSUR (El Mercado Común Del Sur) is the common market of four South American countries. It was established in 1991 by the Treaty of Asunción and later updated by the Treaty of Ouro Preto in 1994. It came into force in 1995 with the purpose of promoting free trade and the free movement of goods, people and capital. It is the fact that today most of the regional integrations besides liberalization of the trade in goods assume also mobility of the production factors, foremost labor and capital, depending upon the level and nature of certain regional integration. This paper sets forth the analysis of the integration trends on the example of MERCOSUR. The aim of the analysis is to determine the significance of the intra-regional trade and the mobility of capital and labor using various indicators in accordance with the available data.
