Sažetak
The idea of this paper is to offer a potential perspective in creating a space for articulating and dialoguing the issue of interdisciplinarity as an epistemological claim toward sociology and within sociology itself. Although being aware of how the complexity of various interrelated as well as ambigous concepts, processes and standpoints underlies this issue, this inquiry is both provocative and theoretically nužan. My primarily focus would be to explore to what extend some already formatted studies in inter/trans/ or multi/disciplinary manner such as women, area or postcolonial studies influence sociological disciplinary cannon(s) but even more how the whole procedure enables epistemological schifts for critical entries and views as well as new knowledge. In this regard link between the emergence of such studies in sociology and epistemological transformation of some key concepts within social-cultural map of knowledge (including globalization, race, historical time and social ruptures, imperialism, gender, hegemony, difference) are of significant relevance in providing both possible meanings and counter-discourse.
