The paper dealt with the question whether socialism itself might become a „trendy identity“ and whether it has already become, on the basis of two elements: a sort of retro-nostalgia that is already commercially formatted and a “spectacle of cultural difference” (Appadurai’s notion) as a bizarre marketing investment.
