Sažetak
In this paper, the former procedure for the boiler efficiency determination is explained and critically analyzed. By that, for some recently developed boiler types, the efficiency values that go over 100% are declared. Such possibility is result of the new technologies development in the central heating boilers production, where, beside the sensible heat, now also the latent heat, developed by the exhaust gases (burning products) condensation in the boiler, can be put to profitable use. Thereby, the sensible heat loss of the exhaust gases is significantly decreased, because now the gases can be rejected in the environment with much lower temperature than before. All above mentioned has for the consequence the energy saving and the decrease of the polluting substances emission in the environment. In this way, the significant progress in both economic and ecological sense is achieved.
