Sažetak
The Europe 2020 strategy is the successor to the Lisbon Strategy, following its ten years implementation. Europe 2020 places innovation, green growth, competitiveness and social inclusion at the centre of its agenda, and stronger monitoring of National Reform Programmes and economic governance, which were the main weaknesses of the Lisbon Strategy, are seen to be of key importance. This book presents an analysis of some of the thematic issues in the Lisbon Strategy and the challenges faced in implementation of Europe 2020. It aims to raise awareness of the relevance of the Europe 2020 goals for strengthening reforms in Croatia, as well as in other candidate and neighboring countries.
