Sažetak
A combination of formaldehyde crosslinking agents on the dimethylglyoxalurea (DMGU)basis and low-formaldehyde crosslnking agents on the dimethylolethyleneurea (DMDHEU)basis has shown good durable press (DP)finishing effects on cotton fabric. Free formaldehyde content was lowered from 75 to 5 ppm after washing which satisfies even most stringent regulations of "Oeko-Tex Standard 106" for baby clothes. Comparing our results with hose achieved with polycarboxylic acids (PCA), our wrinkle-recovery angles were lower but breaking strength and abrasion resistance were higher.
