The author gave a critique of how the concept ‘gender’ has been used throughout the whole postsocialist region, becoming a sort of “habit” among some feminist circles, women’s groups and the academia, as a rule, a conventional or necessary term, and one that has certainly not been thoroughly thought out as a concept or subversive potential for feminism(s).
