Sažetak
Neighboring powers systems often do not exchange enough data for quality load flow and contingency analysis within a single system. This is why external systems often have to be substituted with their equivalents. This paper explores the possibilities of using an artificial neural network as the external power system equivalent for the purposes of load flow and contingency analysis in the internal power system. The IEEE 24-node test network is divided into two systems (the internal and the external) and the external system is modeled by a neural network. The results are presented and discussed.
