Sažetak
The response of rocket to abiotic factors was observed over three growing periods in all year round floating system production: summer (SAGP), autumn-winter (AWGP) and spring (SPGP). The effect of sowing density (6 and 9 g•m-2) and multi-harvest (once, twice and three times) on the yield of rocket 'Coltivata' was evaluated by harvest of rosette with 6-8 leaves. During 339 days of research, the 24 trials were laid out according to the randomized block scheme with four replications. Temperature, dissolved oxygen concentration (DOC), pH- and EC-value of nutrient solution (NS), along with minimum and maximum air temperature and relative humidity (RH) were measured daily. Observed abiotic parameters of nutrient solution were in range as follows: temperature, DOC, pH- and EC-value 12.4 to 26.1 °C, 3.6 to 8.1 mg L-1, 5.4 to 6.6 and 2.7 to 3.3 dS m-1, respectively. Minimum and maximum values of air temperature and RH were in range 5.3 to 18.0 °C and 16.4 to 45.1 °C, 12.7 to 97.3 %, respectively. The shortest production cycles (average of 36 days from sowing to the second harvest) were in SAGP with mean value of abiotic factors: air and nutrient solution temperature 28.1 and 25.3 °C, RH 53.6 % and DOC 5.0 mg L-1. The longest production cycles (average of 77 days) were in AWGP with minimized air and nutrient solution temperature (14.2 and 15.0°C), the highest RH (72.5 %) and DOC (6.9 mg L-1). In all rocket harvests, greater sowing density resulted in higher yields (17, 30 and 44 %) comparing to the smaller sowing density. Regardless of rocket sowing density, the highest share of total yield (53 %) was obtained in the first harvest, smaller (29 %) in the second and the smallest (18 %) in the third harvest, due to it was not economically interesting.
