Sažetak
A great demand for apartments in the last ten years has led to the expansion of housing in Croatia. Since there is no enough space in towns for the construction of residental areas, apartment blocks had to be constructed on the plots of existing, deteriorate family houses. The lack of space on such plots, however, brough into question the basic elements of the site organization, as well as management of material resources. Massive construction materials, their quantity, weight, handling and susceptibility to damage, and building on narrow and small parcels require more careful work organization. This paper proposes the logistics of material resources as a model for the solution of the mentoined problems and for the successful establishemt of a "just in time" concept.
