Sažetak
Although the number of proteins identified from two-dimensional gels is often only a small percentage of the total proteome, the method is helpful when complex samples of proteins need to be analysed. The purpose of our sudy was to compare four sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) cell lines with the regaard to their protein expression. The following lines were analysed: N -normal hormone dependent, HO - habituated, producing shoots , HNO - habituated unorganised, T - crown-gall-tumour line. Preliminary results showed qualitative and quantitative differences in protein spots of different cell lines. The majority of total soluble proteins were detected in the pH range between 5 and 8. Tumour expressed more proteins in the neutral region of the gel, while the other lines had more spots in the acidic region.
