Sažetak
Lotrscak tower, built in the 13th century, is one of the oldest building in Zagreb. It was rather damaged and neglected during centuries. Its reconstruction started in 1979. This paper discusses strengthening problems encountered in the work on the project, from design to actual implementation. Today, 20 years after strengthening, the building of tower shows no week points except humidity in the ground-floor west-side wall that is in direct contact to soil.
The building of International Centre of Croatian Universities in Dubrovnik was burned down during aggressors attack in Decembar 6th 1991. The damage it underwent during attack and its status after burned down is described. Shown are the strengthenings of the building to withstand IX degree earthquakes on MSK scale.
