Sažetak
Ever more emphasized imperatives relating to safety, business efficiency, and environment protection, require from the personnel employed in shipping business some new qualities. It is essential to conform the traditional ship to the possibilities given by the development of electronics and informatics. The definition of the ship, as the subsystem of the complex system of maritime economy, where data generation, data transfer, data processing and the use of information are indispensable, requires multidisciplinary approach and certain knowledge.
