Sažetak
Single stranded DNA binding proteins (SSBs) are essential proteins in the cells of all living organisms. These proteins are involved in DNA recombination, replication and repair. SSB proteins posses conserved C-terminal domain which has role in interacting with other proteins. The aim of this study was to identify proteins that could interact with the SSB from the bacterium Streptomyces coelicolor. TAP technology has been used to purify SSB and its all interacting partners. Mass spectrometry analyses revealed four interacting proteins detected in the other bacteria and over 20 new proteins, which interaction with SSB has yet to be confirmed.
