Sažetak
In this work we showed that cholesterol accumulation upon dysfunction of the cholesterol transport protein NPC1 leads to increased APP cleavage by beta-secretase and thus amylid-beta generation, a key molecule in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.
