Sažetak
Objectives: To value the implantation potential of endometrial thickness and embryo quality in natural IVF cycles. Design: Prospective cohort study. Patients: A series of 500 singleton embryo transfers derived from in vitro fertilization in natural IVF cycle. Main outcome measures: Effect of endometrial thickness and embryo quality on ongoing implantation rate. Results: Only 12.8% pregnancies where achieved in endometrium less than 7 mm, and 58.7% of them resulted in early miscarriages. According to embryo quality the highest implantation was found in 8 cells embryos on day 3, ≤10% fragmentation, symmetrical blastomeres and absence of multinucleated blastomeres. Similarly, 8 cell-embryos with <20% fragmentation showed very good implantation potentional and in utero survival. Overall implantation rate per embryo transfer was 18.9% and per live birth 13.8%. Conclusions: Highest implantation potentional have 8 cells embryos, of equal blastomeres and less than 20% fragmentation in 3rd day following oocyte retrieval. Endometrial thickness of at least 7 mm seems to be the optimal edge of successful pregnancy.
