Sažetak
The efficient expert systems for reasoning about complex physical systems together with methods for automatic synthesis of models and learning represent the new class of second generation expert systems. These techniques will enable the development of tools which are necessary for reasoning about systems in complex, for now not always suitable domains. Thereby, not only those hard problems from such domains will be solved more easily, but the expert systems for a wide class of industrial problems, ranging from prognosis and diagnosis to control of industral processes, will become more feasible.
