Sažetak
Three samples of human calculus, approximately 15 mm in size. were examined using the combination of two different methods scanning electron microscopy and x-ray diffraction. For that purpose, samples were covered with copper layer wich was approximately 1000 A thick in vacuum vaporizer. The observed phases were identified according to the JCPDS - PDF (card numbers 9-80,11-184 and 13-191.The obtained results are following: the calculus sample is composed of the particles having polygonal (cca 40 microns), oval (cca 4 microns) and stick shape; elementary composition - Ca, P, O; phases identified are Ca4H(PO4)3x2H2O; CaH(po4)3x3H2O and CaHPO4.
