Sažetak
This paper deals with the estimating of the shear flow due to distortion of the hull cross-sections of tankers with two longitudinal bulkheads due to loading pattern with full and empty tanks. The distortion is defined by relative vertical displacements of the cross-sections of two girders, representing longitudinal bulkheads and side shell structure. Transverse bulkheads and transverse web framing are included as girder elastic supports, with respect to the relative vertical displacements. The girders are assumed to be under bending ; the transverse bulkheads and transverse web framing under shear. The problem is solved analytically, by using the method of initial parameters. The solution is approximate, given in the form suitable for the stress calculations in the early design stage. An example of the calculation for a modern tanker in the ballast condition, with partly full central tanks and empty side tanks, is given.
