Sažetak
This study presents a general approach of hardness testing with a PCE-2000 hardness tester. The method used is Leeb method for hardness testing which is only one hardness measuring method based on a physical principle i.e. indirectly measures loss of energy of indenter by measuring speed of indenter before and after impact. The testing was done on a steel fixture element use for a deep drawing press. Fixture is made of steel rings composed of several materials and different heat treatments. Performed research was focused on specific points where hardness variation was expected. Also, the purpose of the paper is to promote measuring devices that use Leeb method because this is the only method that uses a physical principle.
