Na taj na in nastaju prirodne populacije airoke genetske varijabilnosti interesantne za daljnji oplemenjiva ki rad. Cilj ovog rada je bio utvrditi varijabilnost osnovnih gospodarskih svojstava 14 populacija niskog graha zrnaaa iz Hrvatske ( akovec, Karlovac i Koprivnica) i Italije (Udine), te procjena njihove oplemenjiva ke vrijednosti. Populacije su testirane dvije godine na pokuaaliatu Zavoda za povrarstvo Agronomskog fakulteta u Zagrebu. Populacijama su utvrene srednje vrijednosti i varijacioni koeficijenti osnovnih gospodarskih svojstava: du~ina vegetacije, visina stabljike, visina do nodija najni~e mahune, broj mahuna po biljci, masa 1000 sjemenki i prinos. Dobiveni podaci poslu~ili su za procjenu oplemenjiva kih vrijednosti skupljenih populacija po metodi Francisa i Kannenberga (1978.). Talijanske populacije u prosjeku su imale manju varijabilnost i viae prosje ne vrijednosti istra~ivanih svojstava. Kao izrazito interesantne za daljnji oplemenjiva ki rad izdvajaju se talijanske populacije 10IV/5a, 13VII/1a i 16X/1a koje se preporu uju testirati metodom ranog testiranja. Domaa populacija 31Pa je interesantna jer daje visoke i stabilne prinose.Ostale populacije se mogu uklju iti u oplemenjiva ke programe kao materijal pogodan za postupak individualne selekcije. Domae populacije 3KAa i 6KOz zbog loaih svojstava se ne preporu uju za daljnji oplemenjiva ki rad. Consequently, natural landraces with wide genetic variability are created, and they are interesting for further plant breeding. The goal of this research was to determine variability of the main agronomic traits of 14 bush dry bean landraces from Croatia ( akovec, Karlovac, and Koprivnica) and Italy (Udine) and also assessment of their plant breeding value. Landraces were tested in two-year field experiment at the Vegetable Crops Department, Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. The average values and coefficients of variation of the main agronomic traits were determined: vegetation length, stem height, lowest pod node height, number of pods per plant, 1000 seed weight, and yield. The collected data were used to determine plant breeding value of collected populations by Francis and Kannenberg (1978). Italian landraces in average had smaller variability and higher average values for examined traits. Italian landraces 10IV/5a, 13VII/1a and 16X/1a stand out as very interesting for further plant breading and they are recommended for method of early testing. Very interesting is Croatian landrace 31Pa because of high and stabile yields. Other landraces could be included in plant breeding programs as material for individual selection method. Because of their poor traits, Croatian landraces 3KAa and 6KOz, are not suitable for further plant breeding.
