Sažetak
The authors have developed a computerised technique for establishing hardening and tempering parameters for steels, with the aims of optimising the treatment and ensuring tight control over the properties imparted. In this article, they outline the approach, with amphasis on the necessary sotfware to cater for the austenitisation, quenching and tempering operations, and compare predicted results with experimentally-measured values.
