Sažetak
The main area of our research is physical planning of the primary structure1 under the influence of construction of the infrastructural corridor of Multipurpose Danube-Sava Canal MDSC2 (VKDS) as far as possible. The aim of the paper is to present the influence of the MDSC corridor (of its linear element) on urban development of the primary structure, and indirectly on the traffic network as a requisite of mobility and accessibility. It is significant to understand and establish that there is a change in the primary structure and function in development, as well as to explore how the specific economic primary structure of Slavonia and Syrmia regions would develop in a dynamic time model. It is also important to determine whether this development will be positive or will it show a tendency towards degradation. The concern for the spatial development of the primary structure is also in the focus of research of developing influence of MDSC, be it positive or negative, i.e. stagnating. The MDSC is a spatial pre-requisite and stimulus for further future development. However, it cannot function by itself without the support of the primary structure. The problem of the primary structure we are trying to solve in the paper, which is also a part of the research, are insufficiently connected and isolated zones of the biggest rural areas situated between the urban centres at the micro level. The main aim of our research is the increase of value of the primary structure.
