Sažetak
Optical lens production gains high importance in the last decade because of the spreading application of them in mobile telephones, in the more and more popular digital cameras and camcorders, in medical devices or in other luxury services like rear cameras in vehicles, videophones etc. The increasing number of the production volume goes together with the decreasing size and more complex geometry requirements. Because of the aforementioned tendencies the traditional direct manufacturing of the optical lenses must be succeeded high precision mass production of them. In the paper the development of new high precision replication technology will be introduced based on the results of the EU supported international joint research project, Production for micro technology (Production). The goal of this research is the development of the economical manufacturing for micro lenses made of glass or polymer materials and ensuring the high accuracy requirements such as form fidelity and fine surface finish. In this paper some of the results of this project will be introduced focusing on the optical glass part manufacturing, and emphasizing the Hungarian participation in it.
