Sažetak
As we move from routine to creative, structured to unstructured, and stable to turbulent environment, information management systems must become more flexible and adaptable, if they are to respond timely and effectively to various and frequent changes. The paper discusses requirements that information management systems must fulfill to address these issues. A polycentric information network model that supports the information management system is presented. In the model implementation explicated, XML-based document search enables the user to find text within specific nodes of documents. The XML-driven software product developed provides a flexible and adaptable platform for the capture, management, distribution and publishing of enterprise information in a dynamic environment. Finally, two implementation cases are presented.
