Sažetak
This paper deals with technology changes in telecommunications area and public networks. It gives also overview of differences between computer and telecom technology as well as trend of technology convergence between these two industries. In addition to this, it can be forseen an extensive use of Internet Protocol for communications services and IP-based applications placed in computer servers connected to the datacom networks. The ongoing changes will have big impact on existing software engineering process, and this paper describes a new software engineering approach as one proposal how to change existing way of working.
