Sažetak
For many reasons it is worth unveiling which are the major incentives to small entrepreneurs to implement information and Internet technology as a support to their activities. Results of the recently conducted survey in the Republic of Croatia point out that the most frequent incentives are, respectively: strengthening their position and presence on the global market, finding their own “market niche” and creating the positive “market image”, strengthening their popularity and business connections, faster and qualitatively better reaction to changes in the market demand, offering new types of services and new kinds of business, business cost reduction, better inventory management, protection (prevention) against financial losses, sticking to actual marketing trends, and following up technology trends.
