Sažetak
In today’s labour market a person and a company can clearly be more competitive with excellent, up to date knowledge and competence. Especially the last economic crisis has shown, that companies, which can quickly adapt to new, more demanding circumstances, can survive and grow. Many SME’s have serious problems in optimizing working processes, while essential number of employees is not well educated and therefore less flexible, useable only for one working position. What is significant for people, who are willing to learn all of their adult life? What motivates them, what do they expect from their company? Which values are important to people, involved in education and training? The aim of this paper is to research two points of view: what motivates employees to be active in lifelong learning processes - in terms of their personal development and career opportunities - and to research the main values of students - in connection with their perception of quality of the study process. The authors would like to find out the main motives and values for study and training. In the paper, a case study is presented. The research showed interesting student values and some important motives for being engaged in training and education after becoming employed.
