Sažetak
Sustainable development is now days one of the main tasks in construction industry sector. Environmental protection and energy saving are crucial problems set up against today's cement industry. The use of industrial by-products such as silica fume, slag, fly ash and lime additionally in the concrete as cement clinker substitution reduces cement production, and consequently lowers the CO2 emission and saves energy. This concrete, so called “green” concrete was tested in this research and compared to “ordinary”, CEM II type of concrete with low slag addition. The aim of this research was to determine durability properties of “green” concrete, especially resistance to chloride ingress, where three methods of chloride resistance testing (according to NT BUILD 443, NT BUILD 492 and ASTM 1202-97) were applied on three different types of concrete. Results presented in this paper show comparison of chloride diffusion/migration coefficients of “green” concrete prepared with quaternary blended cement and “ordinary” concrete prepared with two different types of cement, as well as relationship between different test methods based on natural diffusion and on accelerated migration of chlorides into the concrete.
