Sažetak
In this paper Web 2.0 services relevant to the organisation of e-learning processes are analyzed. The qualitative changes in the implementation of the learning process are achieved through active participation of both students and educators in the learning process. Web 2.0 tools enable students to interconnect, communicate, co-operate, collaborate and exchange existing and create new knowledge. Educators take on the role of mentors instead of teachers and by using Web 2.0 tools advice their students and monitor student activities more closely than before. Results of the empirical research conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business University of Zagreb that can verify this are presented. The goal of the research was to investigate students’ awareness of and attitudes to the different aspects of e-learning. The results showed students' inclination for social networking and time spent online as well as other significant indicators that may encourage or discourage the implementation of Web 2.0 tools in their education.
