Sažetak
Whether he is considering entering a new market or restructuring the existing portfolio of stores, a retailer has to decide either to purchase or rent his store premises. The advantages of purchase are reflected in capital gains, full freedom of disposal of the existing premises and long-term planning. On the other hand, the rent ensures financial flexibility and higher liquidity, to begin with. To prepare an adequate information base for the above decisions, and to ensure the adequate implementation thereof, retailers tend to organize all these activities within a single department: Corporate Real Estate Management Department.
