Sažetak
This thesis provides an analysis on the progress which Croatia has made in the area of social policy, with special focus on poverty, social inclusion and employment policies. This thesis provides an estimation on the current state of affairs in Croatia through a analysis of the progress made from 2005 until today based on statistical data, more specifically through the implementation period of important policies developed by the European Union as well as in the Republic of Croatia. Through an analysis of the trends and reforms carried out in social policy both in Croatia and the EU, and a comparative analysis of employment and poverty, this thesis provides a better understanding as to whether Croatia is prepared for the changes which EU integration can bring, mainly taking into account the cognitive aspects of Europeanization.
