Sažetak
The book Reflections on the Philosophical Foundations of Economics displays historical perspective in development of philosophical thought in economics, conceptually relating religion and philosophy with economic theory. Currently, economic science is experiencing one of the darkest moments in its history, where the ultimate aim of the discipline has come to be questioned i.e. if contemporary economics is able to address the social welfare of mankind ; or is it a dismal science?! One might say that the author's lodestar in writing this book is a call directed towards the intellectual community that seems to have forgotten the true sense of Economics, as a science that studies human behavior inside distinct social frameworks. In this sense, he sees economic philosophy as a vehicle to steer economic science on the righteous path.
