Sažetak
The accounting profession is one of the basic professions without which there would not be relevant and reliable information on corporate operations. It is, therefore, very important that its members are properly educated and organized. In that respect, there are opportunities for further education and additional occupations in the Republic of Croatia. Out of the several options, the most significant interest has been shown for the occupation of internal auditor, external auditor and certified accountant. The education program and certification is carried out by authorized institutions that keep pace with modern international trends and have applied them in Croatia. This has created the basic prerequisites for the good performance of Croatian employees working in accounting.
