Sažetak
This paper presents a new model for drilling process. The key to the model is the decomposition of the drilling process. The thrust force acting on drill is the sum of thre components: the cutting component, the thrust force attributed to ploughing at the chisel edge and the thrust force resulting from friction at the margin. The thrust study has shown a very good agreement between the theoretical predictions and experimental evidence.
