Sažetak
Changing economic environment is constantly causing search for new sources of competitive advantage. Quality and innovation have long been considered as mutually exclusive strategies but recent studies together with the emergence of new approaches for building strategic advantages have caused a new view towards the two. The main aim of this article is to present circumstances which led to emergence of continuous innovation strategy together with its main shapes. The role of quality management or more specifically its basic precondition of continuous improvement in innovations theory together with the approach of radical innovations is also discussed. The paper ends with a description and discussion on methods for implementing continuous innovations.
