Sažetak
This paper describes main points and role of women’s bras in the function of protection and beautiful dressing. Bras belong to intimate clothing and their development started at the beginning of the 20th century. This is the reason why the history of the development of typical bra types is described. This paper also analyzes bra innovations in compliance with the development of techniques and technologies around the world. These new bra types offer the so-called “smart” functionality which requires a complex multidisciplinary investigation of materials, style, construction, modeling and production processes.
