Sažetak
The results of the anthropometric measurements obtained within the scope of the compound technological research project Croatian Anthropometric Measurements are applicable in various life spheres, including a wide spectrum of application in ergonomics. Body measurements form the basis for the ergonomic design of workplaces, functional interior design and design of public buildings as well as the improvement of many industries whose products directly influence higher quality of life. Work to be performed can be fully performed (maximum efficiency and worker satisfaction achieved) only if working methods, working conditions, machinery and working environment are adapted to man, and not only that man adapts to them. Ergonomics starts with man, his abilities, possibilities and limits where a certain requirement can be performed without impairing his physical and mental health. Starting with man and following his needs the success of a high-quality product is ensured.
