Sažetak
There are many arguments for imposing barriers to international trade, but in the past few decades many efforts were made in order to diminish or even eliminate these kinds of barriers. These efforts are present on both, multilateral and regional level. The main argument of this paper is that with the severe recession of global economy, the risks of the protectionism are rising. There are evidences that many countries introduced some kind of measures in order to influence international trade since the beginning of the crisis. Developed countries use mostly subsidies and less developed ones use different types of barriers like duties or bans. The protectionist measures can influence in further decline of the volume of the international trade.
