Sažetak
Narrow fabrics are used in a wide field of products and there in different application, such are clothing, home textiles, automotive, aerospace, etc. Even that cellulose textiles are the most flammable materials, the usefulness of cotton and its blends it is the most commonly used textile material in the design and production of protective textiles. By itself cotton is readily ignited and burns rapidly. Therefore it is very important to protect cotton fabric against the flame. For that purpose in this paper the organic phosphorous-based flame retardant with and without addition of natural zeolite was used for improving the flame retardancy of cotton narrow fabrics for usage as ribbons on bedding.
